What is Flag Quiz?
Flag Quiz is an educational game where you identify countries from their flags. With data for 249 countries, it offers easy, medium, and hard difficulty levels.
How to Play
- 1.Choose your mode, input type, difficulty, number of questions, and timer setting, then press Start Game.
- 2.Flag → Country mode: Look at the flag and guess the country name via multiple choice or text input.
- 3.Country → Flag mode: See the country name and pick the correct flag from 4 options.
- 4.Lose all 3 lives or finish all questions to see your results.
Difficulty Levels
Easy includes ~60 well-known countries (G20, major Olympic nations). Medium covers ~130 countries. Hard includes all 249 countries.

How many countries are included?
Depends on difficulty. Easy has ~60, Medium ~130, and Hard includes all 249 countries.
Can I type in any language?
Yes. Common names in multiple languages are accepted. For example, 'USA', 'United States', and 'America' are all correct.
How is scoring calculated?
Each correct answer earns 5 points. Using a hint deducts 1 point per use. Wrong answers score 0 points. Scores are kept for the current session only and are not saved.
Some flags look very similar. What should I do?
Flags from Scandinavia and the Middle East can look alike. Start on Easy mode to build familiarity before increasing difficulty.
Can I review wrong answers?
Yes! The results screen shows all wrong answers with the correct flag and country name.
Can I turn off the timer?
Yes. Select Timer OFF at the start screen to play without time pressure.
What happens when I run out of lives?
When all 3 lives are lost, the game ends and you go to the results screen. Points earned up to that moment are kept.
